Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament Terms and Conditions

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT INCLUDING RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF RIGHTS, & ASSUMPTION OF RISK

Participation in the Tournament is subject to mutual consent and agreement of the following terms and conditions.

Participants acknowledge that the «Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament 2025», like every basketball tournament, includes intense physical activity, and declare that they are competent to participate in the games, having recently undergone medical examinations.

Participants understand potential dangers incidental to their participation, some of which may expose them to personal damage and injuries, and assume full responsibility for this risk. They further understand and agree that any property and/or personal damage or injury that may sustain by any means is their sole responsibility, and «Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament 2025» and its agents, sponsors, employees, officers, directors, and management bear no responsibility therefore.

In addition, the Organiser and Sponsors shall not be liable for any medical or health expenses in the unfortunate event of their injury.

Professional athletes, in particular, declare that they have received the appropriate permission from their unions/employers, and they further agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend the Organizer and Sponsors from any liability, including all claims arising from their athletes’ participation in the Tournament, in the unfortunate event of their injury.

By entering the Tournament, participants acknowledge and agree that the Organiser may, in its sole discretion, preserve, disclose or process their data and information throughout the Tournament, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to
• Comply with legal processes,
• Enforce these Terms,
• Respond to claims that any Content violates the rights of third parties, or
• Protect the rights, property, or personal safety of «Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament 2025», its users, or the spectators.

The above personal data will be kept by the Organizer for the purposes of the Tournament, for the duration of the Tournament, while after the end of the Tournament the Organizer may limit their use to purely statistical or promotional purposes after taking appropriate technical and organizational measures (such as anonymization etc.) and for the fulfillment of its legal obligations.

To participate in the «Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament 2025», the athletes must fill in all the information on the online registration form.

Participants are solely responsible for data accuracy related to participation in the Tournament and expressly acknowledge and agree that

a) their personal information is true

b) they are over the age of 18

c) their personality is not offended or diminished by any means from entering the «Stoiximan 22oz Elite Basketball Tournament 2025», d) they grant to the Organiser and those acting with their authority or permission the unrestricted right to publish, republish and display all games and results via print or/and internet throughout the Tournament.

e) they grant to the Organiser and the Major Sponsor «Stoiximan» the unrestricted right to copyright and use, re-use, publish, republish, and display photographic and video images and audio of the participants or in which the participants may be included, in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs or video or audio, now or hereafter known, and for any purpose whatsoever, including illustration, art, promotion, advertising, trade and/or any other purpose whatsoever, and to use the participant’s name in connection therewith. Participants further expressly waive any demand, action, claim, license, royalty and/or any other right to any form of payment that may have based on claims as to the rights of privacy, publicity, notoriety and/or any other rights arising out of or relating to any use by the Organiser or the Major Sponsor «Stoiximan».

Participants that may not accept these Terms and Conditions cannot participate in the Tournament.

Tournament Rules

RULE 1: COURT AND BALL. THE GAME WILL BE PLAYED ON IN A BASKEKETBALL HALF COURT, IN ONE BASKET. THE 2×2 BASKETBALL IS SIZE 7.

RULE 2: TEAMS. EACH TEAM CONSISTS OF TWO (2) PLAYERS WHO PLAY AGAINST EACH OTHER AND MAY OPTIONALLY HAVE ONE PLAYER FOR SUBSTITUTION.

RULE 3: START OF THE GAME. 3.1 THE GAME STARTS WITH A SHOOTING CHALLENGE. WHICHEVER TEAM WINS, WINS POSSESSION OF THE BALL AT THE START OF THE GAME. IN CASE OF EXTRA TIME (OVERTIME), THE BALL IS TAKEN BY THE OPPOSING TEAM. 3.2 THE GAME MUST START WITH 2 PLAYERS READY TO PLAY PER TEAM.

RULE 4: SCORING. 4.1 EVERY SHOT MADE FROM INSIDE THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) COUNTS FOR ONE (1) POINT. 4.2 EVERY SHOT MADE OUTSIDE OF THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) COUNTS FOR 2 POINTS. 4.3 EVERY SUCCESSFUL FREE THROW COUNTS FOR ONE (1) POINT. 4.4 BASKET AND FOUL COUNTS THE BASKET HE SCORE, FOR ONE (1) POINT OR TWO (2) POINTS AND HAS AND EXTRA FREE THROW.

RULE 5: PLAYING TIME & WINNER OF THE GAME. 5.1 THE REGULAR PLAYING TIME SHALL BE ONE (1) PERIOD OF TEN (10) MINUTES. THE GAME CLOCK SHALL BE STOPPED DURING DEAD BALL SITUATIONS IN THE LAST TWO (2) MINUTES AND DURING FREE THROWS. TIME STARTS AFTER THE CHECK BALL BY THE DEFENSE. 5.2 THE FIRST TEAM TO SCORE FIFTEEN (15) POINTS OR MORE AUTOMATICALLY WINS THE GAME EVEN BEFORE REGULAR TIME ENDS. THIS ONLY APPLIES TO THE REGULAR PLAYING TIME AND NOT IN OVERTIME. 5.3 IF THE SCORE IS TIED AT THE END OF REGULAR TIME, AN OVERTIME SHALL BE PLAYED. THERE WILL BE A ONE (1) MUNUTE BREAK BEFORE THE OVERTIME STARTS. THE FIRST TEAM TO SCORE 2 POINTS OR MORE IN OVERTIME WINS THE GAME. 5.4 Α TEAM WILL LOSE THE GAME BY FORFEIT IF AT THE SCHEDUELED STARTING TIME OF THE GAME THE TEAM IS NOT ON THE COURT WITH 2 PLAYERS.

RULE 6: FOULS & FREE THROWS 6.1 A TEAM IS IN A PENALTY SITUATION AFTER IT HAS COMMITTED FIVE (5) FOULS. WHEN A TEAM EXCEEDS TEN (10) FOULS, EACH FOUL IS CONSIDERING AS A TECHNICAL PENALTY. 6.2 IF THE FOUL IS COMMITTED ON A PLAYER IN THE ACT OF SHOOTING INSIDE THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) IS AWARDED WITH ONE (1) FREE THROW. 6.3 IF THE FOUL IS COMMITTED ON A PLAYER IN THE ACT OF SHOOTING BEHIND THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) IS AWARDED WITH TWO (2) FREE THROWS. 6.4 IF A FOUL IS COMMITTED AND THE SHOT RELEASED IS SUCCESSFUL, THE GOAL SHALL COUNT AND IN ADDITION, ONE (1) FREE THROW. 6.5 UNSPORTSMANLIKE AND DISQUALIFYING FOULS SHALL BE PENALIZED WITH 2 FREE THROWS AND BALL POSSESSION. 6.6 TEAM FOUL NUMBER TEN (10) AND ANY SUBSEQUENT TEAM FOUL AFTER THAT SHALL BE PENALIZED WITH 1 FREE THROW AND BALL POSSESSION.

RULE 7: HOW THE BALL BE PLAYED. 7.1 AFTER A SUCCESSFUL FIELD GOAL OR LAST FREE THROW THE BALL CHANGES POSSESSION. A PLAYER FROM THE NON SCORING TEAM WHO TAKES THE BALL MUST GO OUTSIDE OF THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) EITHER BY PASSING THE BALL TO A PLAYER OUTSIDE OF THE LINE, OR BY DRIBBLING. THE BALL MUST BE PLAYED DIRECTLY AFTER A FIELD GOAL, WITHOUT HAVING TO DO A SIDELINE OR A BASELINE OUT THE DEFENSE IS ALLOWED TO STEAL THE BALL ΟΝ FIRST PASSES. 7.2 AFTER AN UNSUCCESSFUL FIELD GOAL OR LAST FREE THROW, IF THE OFFENSIVE PLAYER REBOUNDS THE BALL, HE MAY CONTINUE TO ATTEMPT TO SCORE WITHOUT RETURNING THE BALL BEHIND THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE). IF THE DEFENSIVE PLAYER REBOUNDS THE BALL, HE MUST RETURN THE BALL BEHIND THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) BY PASSING OR DRIBBLING. 7.3 IF THE DEFENSIVE TEAM STEALS OR BLOCK THE BALL, IT MUST RETURN THE BALL BEHIND THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) BY PASSING OR DRIBBLING. 7.4 POSSESSION OF THE BALL GIVEN TO EITHER TEAM FOLLOWING ANY DEAD BALL SITUATION SHALL START WITH A CHECK BALL OUTSIDE OF THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) AT THE TOP OF THE COURT. 7.5 A PLAYER IS CONSIDERED TO BE BEHIND THE ARC (THREE POINT LINE) WHEN NEITHER OF HIS FEET IS INSIDE OR IN THE ARC LINE. 7.6 IΝ A JUMP BALL SITUATION, THE BALL GOES TO THE DEFENDING TEAM.

RULE 8: TIME OUT. EACH TEAM SHALL BE GRANTED WITH ONE (1) TIME OUT OF THIRTY (30) SECONDS. ANY PLAYER CAN REQUEST A TIME OUT AFTER A MADE BASKET, A MADE FREE THROW, Α FOUL CALL OR A DEAD BALL SITUATION.

RULE 9: STANDINGS OF TEAMS. IF TEAMS THAT HAVE REACHED THE STAGE OF THE COMPETITION ARE TIED, THE STEPS TO BREAK THE TIE IS A) MOST WINS B) HEAD TO HEAD COMPARISON C) MOST POINTS SCORED D) LESS POINTS ON DEFENSE.

RULE 10: DISQUALIFICATION. 10.1 A PLAYER SHAL BE DISQUALIFIED FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE GAME WHEN HE’S CHARGED WITH TWO (2) UNSPORTSMANLIKE FOUL. THE ORGANIZER SHALL DISQUALIFY PLAYERS CONCERNED FROM THE EVENT FOR ACTS OF VIOLENCE, VEBAL OR PHYSICAL AGGRESION OR TORTUOUS INTERFERENCE IN GAME RESULTS. THE ORGANIZER MAY ALSO DISQUALIFY THE ENTIRE TEAM FROM THE EVENT DEPENDING ON THAT TEAM’S OTHER MEMBERS CONTRIBUTION TO THE AFOREMENTIONED BEHAVIOR. 10.2 IF A PLAYER DISQUALIFIED FROM THE GAME, THE TEAM CONTINUES THE REST OF THE GAME WITH ONE (1) PLAYER.
